Snake

Steer the snake to the apples. Every apple makes it longer, and the longer it gets, the harder it is to avoid yourself.

How it works

• Press Start, or any arrow key. The snake moves by itself; you only choose where it turns.
• Steer with the arrow keys or W, A, S, D. On a phone, swipe on the board or use the four buttons under it.
• Eat the red apples. Each one scores a point and adds a square to the snake.
• The game ends if the snake runs into a wall or into itself.
• Press Space or the Pause button to take a break.

Tips

• Keep to the edges early on and leave room in the middle to turn.
• Plan two moves ahead. A turn right next to a wall can leave you nowhere to go.
• The snake speeds up as your score grows, so settle into a loop that sweeps the whole board.
• Turning straight back on yourself is ignored, so a quick double tap will not end the game.
