Four Groups

Find four groups of four words that go together.

How it works

• You see sixteen words. Each one belongs to exactly one of four hidden groups.
• Tap four words you think belong together, then press Submit.
• If you are right, the group is revealed with its title and moves to the top. If you are one word away, you are told so.
• Every wrong guess costs a mistake. You can make three, and the fourth ends the game, so think before you submit.
• Each group has a level, from easiest to trickiest. The level is written on the row as well as shown by its colour: yellow is easiest, then green, blue and purple.
• A new puzzle arrives every day, the same for everyone.

Tips

• Start with the group you are surest about, even if it is not the easiest one.
• Look out for red herrings: a word can fit two groups, but only one of them can be made from four words in the end.
• Shuffle the words if you are stuck. A new order often shows a link you missed.
• Purple groups are usually about wordplay: hidden words, words that sound like other words, or words that change when you add a letter.
