Hive Words

Make as many words as you can from seven letters.

How it works

• You see seven letters. One, in the middle, is the centre letter. Every word you make must use it.
• Words must be four letters or more. Letters can be used as many times as you like.
• Tap the letters or type on your keyboard, then press Enter.
• A word scores one point if it has four letters, and one point per letter if it is longer.
• A pangram is a word that uses all seven letters at least once. It scores its length plus seven extra points, and there is always at least one.
• Your rank rises as your points grow, from Beginner to Hive Master. The page tells you how many points the next rank needs.
• A new puzzle arrives every day, the same for everyone.

Tips

• Start with short words to get on the board, then look for endings that grow them: -ING, -ED, -ER, -LY.
• Use Shuffle to move the outer letters. A new arrangement often shows a word you could not see before.
• Look for the pangram last. Think about common long words that use your letters, and remember that a letter can repeat.
• The list of words is made of common English words. Names, very rare words and offensive words are not accepted.
