In this article
Grand Theft Auto VI, from Rockstar Games, is due on 19 November 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. On its India store page, PlayStation lists the Standard Edition at Rs 5,999 and the Ultimate Edition at Rs 7,499. This article is based on pages read on 5 November 2026.
What the publisher has confirmed
Rockstar's own game page says the game is "Coming November 19, 2026" and that pre-load begins on 10 November. It names PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S as the platforms and shows a Mature rating from the ESRB, the US game-rating board. The page shows no prices and does not give a launch time.
PlayStation's India page says the game is released for PS5 and PS5 Pro on 19 November 2026 and will not be playable on PlayStation 4. One line of the page's details table shows a release of 18/11/2026, which differs from the 19 November date in the same page's questions section and on Rockstar's page. The 19 November date is the one used here.
Editions and India prices
These are the prices on PlayStation India's page as of 5 November 2026. Business Today reported the same two figures on 4 November.
- Standard Edition: Rs 5,999. Includes the game, the Vintage Vice City Pack and one month of GTA+.
- Ultimate Edition: Rs 7,499. Includes the same items plus the Ultimate Edition Upgrade.
- The separate Ultimate Edition Upgrade add-on is shown as "Pre-Order Unavailable" on the PlayStation page.
Business Today also reports, citing the GamingNation site, that a Standard Edition owner can move up to Ultimate later for Rs 1,500. That figure comes from a secondary report, not from Rockstar or PlayStation.
Pre-load and launch time
Pre-load lets players download the game before release so it can be opened when the game goes live. Rockstar gives 10 November as the start. Business Today cited another newspaper for 12 November, and PlayStation India lists a "9-Day Pre-load", which matches a 10 November start. Business Today's own text mentions a seven-day pre-load. These sources do not agree, so the official Rockstar date is the safer reference.
Business Today reports that PlayStation and Xbox listings in India show 12:00 am IST on Thursday, 19 November, and says that time comes from store pages rather than the publisher and could change. Neither Rockstar's page nor PlayStation's page states a time.
GTA+ and the auto-renewal
Both editions include one month of GTA+, Rockstar's subscription service. PlayStation's page says the month comes with a digital pre-order of the full game on the PlayStation Store, must be claimed before 31 March (2027, according to the page's questions section), and can be claimed once per account. The pre-order has to be made before 20 November 2026.
What changes for buyers
The two editions differ only by the Ultimate Edition Upgrade, so the Rs 1,500 gap between Rs 5,999 and Rs 7,499 is the price of that upgrade pack. PlayStation's page does not say what the pack contains, and Rockstar's page lists only the Vintage Vice City Pack as a pre-order bonus. Readers who want to know what the upgrade adds should wait for the publisher to describe it.
The digital pre-order condition matters for the GTA+ month. PlayStation's page says the free month is available only with digital versions of the game, so a buyer who chooses a boxed or code-in-box copy from a shop may not receive it. The page does not discuss boxed copies, and Business Today says the Disc console box holds only a download code.
Platforms and what is not announced
- Platforms: PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X|S.
- Not supported: PlayStation 4 (stated on PlayStation's page) and Xbox One.
- PC: Business Today says no PC version has been announced; Rockstar's page lists only the two console families.
PlayStation's India page does not show a console price. Business Today, citing GamingNation, gives Amazon India prices from 28 October 2026 of Rs 64,990 for the PS5 Slim Digital and Rs 69,985 for the Disc model, which puts the digital console plus the Standard Edition at about Rs 70,989. These are retailer prices and can change.
General information only: prices, times and offers are as published on 5 November 2026 and can change, so check the store page before buying.
