Merge PDF Files

Combine several PDF files into one, in the order you choose, without uploading them.

  • Free
  • No sign-up
  • Runs in your browser

Your files stay on your device. They are never uploaded.

Choose at least two PDF files. Put them in the order you want, then merge.

How to use Merge PDF Files

How to use this tool:

  • Choose two or more PDF files (up to 20, 50 MB each, 150 MB in total).
  • Use Up and Down to put them in the order you want. Remove any you added by mistake.
  • Press "Merge into one PDF", then download the result.

Details. The pages of the first file come first, then the second, and so on. Each page keeps its size, and text stays searchable. Features that belong to a whole document, such as bookmarks, may not carry over.

Privacy. The work is done in your browser with a PDF library that loads when you choose a file. Your files are never uploaded.

Password-protected files cannot be merged. Remove the password first.

Examples

  • A report in three parts

Choose cover.pdf, body.pdf and appendix.pdf, put them in that order and merge them into one file.

  • A form and its attachments

Combine a filled form with scans of the documents it needs.

  • Mixed page sizes

A4 and Letter files can be merged. Each page keeps its own size.

Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded?

No. The merge runs in your browser and the files stay on your device.

Can I merge a password-protected PDF?

No. Remove the password in your PDF viewer first. The tool tells you which file is the problem.

Will the quality drop?

No. Pages are copied as they are, so text and pictures keep their quality.

Is there a limit?

Up to 20 files, 50 MB each and 150 MB in total, because a browser holds the files in memory.
