TVS Motor Company showed four production-ready models for Europe at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan on 3 November 2026: the RTR 125 motorcycle and three electric scooters, the Orbiter, M1-S and X. According to the company's press release, the models are built for European customers. TVS has not announced European prices or dealer arrival dates, and this article is written as of 6 November 2026.

What TVS announced

The company's release, distributed by Business Wire on 3 November 2026, says the four models cover electric commuting, premium urban transport and lightweight sports motorcycling. It describes Europe as a strategic market and says TVS wants international business to reach 30 per cent or more of its revenue by 2030.

The release also gives network figures. TVS's Italian network now has more than 100 retailers, and the company says its sales in Italy rose 110 per cent over the past year. It has started retail in Spain and Portugal, with further development planned in France and Germany.

TVS RTR 125 LC: the motorcycle

Autocar India, which reported on the show, lists these figures for the RTR 125 (called RTR 125 LC in its report). The engine is a new 125 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled unit making 14.7 hp at 9,000 rpm and 12 Nm at 7,000 rpm. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox and a slip-and-assist clutch. The bike is aimed at riders in Europe who hold an A1 licence, the category for 125 cc machines.

  • Frame: new tubular trellis frame with a cast swingarm
  • Suspension: KYB 41 mm upside-down fork and a rear monoshock
  • Tyres: 100/80-17 front, 140/70 R17 rear
  • Brakes: 300 mm front disc and 240 mm rear disc, dual-channel ABS as standard (Bybre)
  • Display: 5-inch TFT with full-screen map mirroring, Bluetooth and smartphone connectivity, ride modes

The press coverage notes that TVS shared pre-homologation specifications. Homologation is the approval process a vehicle must pass before sale in a region, so final figures can change.

The three electric scooters

The Orbiter and the X are already sold in India. Autocar India reports that the Orbiter is unchanged for Europe, while the X gets 14-inch wheels in Europe instead of the 12-inch wheels used in India. The M1-S is not sold in India. Autocar India lists it with a 4.2 kWh battery, a motor with 12.5 kW peak power and a WMTC range of 120 km. WMTC is a standard laboratory test cycle for motorcycles and scooters, so the figure is a test result, not a real-world promise.

  • TVS Orbiter: shown unchanged from the India version
  • TVS M1-S: 4.2 kWh battery, 12.5 kW peak, 120 km WMTC range
  • TVS X: 14-inch wheels for Europe (12-inch in India)

Why a 125 cc bike matters in Europe

In much of Europe a rider can hold an A1 licence from a younger age than the full motorcycle licence, and A1 limits a bike to 125 cc and a modest power output. That is why 125 cc machines are popular as first motorcycles there, and why makers such as TVS build a dedicated model for the class. TVS's own release does not state licence rules, so check the rules of a given country before assuming what a rider may use.

The press coverage also notes that the RTR 125 is positioned as a technology-heavy beginner bike. A map-mirroring TFT display and ride modes are features usually seen on larger machines, which is a point Autocar India makes in its report.

Leadership note in the release

The same release states that Peyman Kargar, President of International Business, has been appointed Director and Chief Executive Officer of TVS Motor Company with effect from 27 January 2027, succeeding K. N. Radhakrishnan.

What is still unknown

  • European prices for all four models
  • On-sale dates for each country
  • Whether the RTR 125 or M1-S will come to India: Autocar India says TVS has given no indication so far, and the company could decide otherwise later
  • Final homologated figures for the RTR 125
