Suzuki unveiled the GSX-10R sportbike and the SV-7S naked bike at EICMA 2026 in Milan, according to Suzuki's global news page dated 3 November 2026. The GSX-10R is a fully faired bike with a 999cc inline-four and a claimed kerb weight of 214kg. Sales begin in various countries from summer 2027 for the GSX-10R and spring 2027 for the SV-7S. Suzuki has not announced prices. This article is current as of 3 November 2026.

GSX-10R: the published numbers

Suzuki's page for the European specification gives these figures for the GSX-10R:

  • Engine: K5, 999cc liquid-cooled inline-four, DOHC
  • Kerb weight: 214kg
  • Wheelbase: 1,455mm; seat height: 810mm; ground clearance: 145mm
  • Tyres: 120/70ZR17 front, 190/55ZR17 rear
  • Fuel tank: 18 litres
  • Length, width, height: 2,130mm, 740mm, 1,175mm

Suzuki's page, as read for this article, does not list power or torque. Visordown reports a claimed 150bhp at 11,000rpm and 78lb-ft of torque at 9,250rpm. Autocar India gives 152hp and 106Nm. These are almost certainly the same figures in different units (152 PS is about 150bhp, and 78lb-ft is about 106Nm), though the sources do not say so.

Electronics and chassis

Suzuki says the bike has its S.I.R.S. electronics package with 15 functions. The company's page names Slide Control, Brake Hold Control, Cruise Control, a bi-directional quick shift, Launch Control and the Suzuki Ground Beacon System, along with a colour TFT display. Visordown notes that Slide Control is a first for a Suzuki bike.

On the chassis, Visordown lists an aluminium twin-spar frame with a new aluminium swingarm, KYB suspension with fully adjustable 43mm inverted forks, twin front discs with a radial master cylinder, and Bridgestone Battlax Hypersport S23 tyres. It also reports a claimed maximum lean angle of 53 degrees.

How it relates to other Suzuki bikes

Autocar India says the engine is shared with other K5-based Suzuki models, and Visordown describes it as based on the K5 GSX-R1000 architecture, refined through the GSX-S1000. The GSX-R1000R remains in the range. Autocar India gives that bike 195hp, so the GSX-10R's claimed output is lower, while its claimed torque is only slightly below.

SV-7S

The SV-7S is a naked street bike with a 645cc liquid-cooled V-twin, ride-by-wire throttle, a claimed kerb weight of 200kg and a seat height of 785mm, according to Suzuki's page. Its electronics include three levels of the Suzuki Drive Mode Selector, three-mode traction control, a bi-directional quick shift and a 4.2-inch colour TFT. It has a 14-litre fuel tank.

Availability, price and India

Suzuki's page gives summer 2027 for the GSX-10R and spring 2027 for the SV-7S, in various countries. Visordown says Suzuki included no UK price or availability in its launch information. Autocar India says the GSX-10R is unlikely to come to India, but that is the outlet's view, not a Suzuki statement; Suzuki has not announced any India plan. Estimates of prices elsewhere are guesses and are not used here.

EICMA is the international motorcycle exhibition held every year in Milan, Italy, where makers often show new models before they reach showrooms. A "claimed" figure is one stated by the maker or reported from its launch material; it has not been measured by an independent tester. Kerb weight normally means the bike with fluids and a full tank, but definitions vary between makers, so weights from different companies are not always directly comparable.

Power appears in several units. Metric horsepower (PS) and mechanical horsepower (hp or bhp) differ by about 1.4 per cent, and torque is quoted in newton-metres (Nm) or pound-feet (lb-ft). Autocar India and Visordown quote the GSX-10R in different units, which is the likely reason their figures differ slightly. Suzuki's own European page, as read for this article, does not state power at all.

What the numbers tell you, and what they do not

Everything above describes the bikes on paper, as published at the show. None of the reports used here is a ride review, so nothing is known from them about how either bike feels to use. The GSX-10R's published figures place it below the GSX-R1000R on claimed power, according to Autocar India, but the sources do not say how Suzuki will position the price of either bike.
